Bottle member Sean Williamson has been proactive in arranging a space for Bottle members to exhibit in at the beginning of December. A relatively new space Reigate Art Gallery is positioned just off the high street (map). I will post more details about work being exhibited in the middle of November. Quay Arts Gallery exhibition

Clare Winfield – Bag for life

The final piece will be printed onto a canvas bag with the description ‘This ‘Bag for life’ is to be used when out foraging for food, not for taking to the supermarket.’

Lesley Flower new work for exhibition

A continuation of work produced by Lesley Flower for the Bottle exhibition CA$H on Isle of Wight starting on the 19th of September at the Quay Arts Gallery. Her work explores contemplation simple pleasures and our place in material culture see her other work so far here and here.

Tom Forsyth and Owen Gildersleeve have produced a simple and informative video into how they went about desigining and making for the Decked project which exhibited at Stolenspace gallery, London between 5th-30th August 2009.

Bottle Exhibiting on IOW

Its nearly exhibition time for Bottle, we have all been working hard towards an 6 week exhibition on the Isle of Wight art the prestigious Quay Arts Centre in Newport. Opening on Sat, 19 Sep 2009 until Mon, 02 Nov 2009

Jonathan Green – Contemplation

From a series of work Jonathan has been working on for CA$H brief exploring places he goes to think, relax, contemplate and chill. These places played an important part in his life during the first part of this year having felt the effects of the recession and been unemployed for 6 weeks. See some more images on flickr

Thomas Forsyth & Owen Gildersleeve – The Decked Project

Graphic designer / illustrator Owen Gildersleeve and product designer / maker Thomas Forsyth have joined forces to create two hand-carved skateboard decks. The boards have been created using traditional wood-carving techniques and 100% Eco Friendly decks from British skateboard manufacturer ‘Faltown Skateboards’.

The two boards will be exhibited in the Stolenspace Gallery, London from 25th – 30th August 2009, alongside many other talented artists and illustrators work for ‘The Decked Project‘.
